Holden Bonnet Safety Catch Spring +Rivet kit EJ EH HD HR lock latch catch

You are looking at a Holden Bonnet Safety Catch Spring and Rivet kit to suit;

• EJ EH HD HR
• Standard Special Premier Belmont Kingswood Brougham Monaro GTS
• Sedan Wagon Ute Van

This repair kit includes the rivet, spring, flat washer which retains the safety catch to the bonnet of the vehicle.
Please note: Place the rivet through the first hole in the bracket on the bonnet and safety catch then the spring so the one end of the spring is in the hole of the safety catch and the other end is resting on the bonnet. Then push the rivet through the other side of bonnet bracket checking to see if the catch is now spring loaded before finishing.
Place the flat washer over the rivet and peen/ spread the rivet back against the washer, support the rivet head when peening/ spreading it over against the washer.
Hint: Removing the bonnet plunger and spring first makes peening/ flaring the rivet makes the job easier.
